About the Department

WHo we are

East Milton Fire Rescue is a professional fire department that takes pride in serving and protecting the East Milton community in Santa Rosa County, Florida, in Northwest Florida. Our department has been in operation since 1958, and during this time, we have developed a strong reputation for our dedication to providing high-quality services to the community.

Our extensive coverage area covers over 60 square miles of rural, suburban, industrial, and waterfront-type properties, including seventeen miles of the interstate on both east and westbound directions of Interstate 10. Our team of highly trained and experienced firefighters is committed to responding quickly and effectively to any emergency within our coverage area.

We operate on a three-shift system, which consists of seven career firefighters working on a rotating 48-hour on-duty and 96-hour off-duty schedule. This allows us to maintain a constant state of readiness and ensures that we are always prepared to respond to any emergency at any time of the day or night.

In addition to our career firefighters, we also have two unmanned outlined stations that house two apparatuses. These stations help us to provide quick responses from volunteers and are strategically located to ensure that we can reach all areas of our coverage area as quickly as possible.

At East Milton Fire Rescue, we are committed to providing the highest level of service to our community. Our team of dedicated professionals is always ready to respond to any emergency, and we take great pride in the work we do to protect the lives and property of the people we serve.
